Umamah’s passion for human rights and development stems from a young age, having lived and grown up in countries as diverse as Pakistan, Yemen, Germany and the UK. Since graduating in 2011, Umamah has gained valuable experience within the non-profit sector, mainly in research, communications and fundraising capacities. Most recently, she has worked for Minority Rights Group International, Muslim Aid and a social enterprise named Clear Thinking Consultancy. She has also been an active volunteer for CARE Pakistan and remains committed to promoting the cause of education as widely as possible. Umamah holds an LLB from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) and an LLM in Human Rights, Conflict and Justice from SOAS, University of London.
