We are grateful to our Partners in the UK who have supported our projects in the past and continue to help us reach our mission of putting 1 million children into school by 2018.

pawa

Since 2013, PAWA has been supporting the CDG Girls High School, Gulshan Park, Lahore, contributing to the school’s running costs as well as providing library books for the students. PAWA’s ongoing support has enabled CARE to improve the infrastructure of the school and provide a better learning environment for delivering quality education to its students. Substantial progress was made in the last year, including increase in enrolment, reduced drop outs, and an overall pass rate of 70%. Students of the school are regularly engaging in extra-curricular activities and specialised training programmes for teachers have been introduced in areas such as curriculum development, lesson planning and computer basics. We are truly grateful for PAWA’s support, through which we are able to give hundreds of more girls an opportunity to lift themselves out of poverty and have a brighter future.

bfss

In 2016, BFSS provided a grant of £24,060 for the construction of classrooms and toilets and provision of basic equirpment and learning resources for a CARE-adopted primary school in a village in Sargodha, Punjab, Pakistan. With the provision of these facilities, the students have been showing vast improvement in their academic performance. They look happier and more excited about coming to school than before. They no longer have to sit under the sun in extreme temperatures. As a result of the teacher training sessions, the teachers have introduced activity-based learning methodology in the classes, igniting more enthusiasm in the students. The well-furnished school and other facilities have satisfied the parents too. They are now encouraging their kids to attend school as their children are not only getting free education but also free books and uniforms.
